Welcome to our new crew members.
Windhorse Aerospace is pleased to be able to announce a further expansion of the team responsible for the development of PouncerTM. We have been on a mission to build the first ever lifesaving highly automated, one way aid delivery system and we're on track to pass TRL4 (technical readiness level) soon.
The team behind the Pouncerâ„¢ (literally in the image below) are all important in getting this done and our new additions are another very big step towards realising this goal.
Andy Morgan (CEO)
Coming aboard as CEO this month, Andy has worked in the aviation sector for many years having held key financial positions at Airbus Group (UK), EADS and Hydro Industries. Andy recently moved into working on personal projects of interest and his appointment again strengthens the project and he will be cementing the business systems and structure needed to deploy Pouncers as required.
As CEO he will also be working alongside the investment and finance side of the company to ensure that the programme is adequately funded and ensure that the people helping us get to flight, outside of actual vehicle development, are aligned for what is a critical year for the company. Andy stated: "I was approached by Nigel and the team after I was introduced by a mutual friend. I loved the idea immediately and felt that there were areas I could help base on my previous experience and current interests. I’m really proud to be involved.â€
"With such a small team, it’s easy for us to get caught up in the whirl of things and I need to ensure we remain focused on objectives and operational milestones while Pouncerâ„¢ is being developed. We are talking to lots of NGO’s and OGD’s who are quite rightly keen to ensuring the whole solution delivers critical cargo directly to those who need it at a price that offers savings against current delivery systems. And that doesn’t happen by accident.â€
Bruce Dickinson (Vice Chairman)
Bruce has joined as Windhorse Vice-Chairman responsible for Operational Deployment Relationships and Systems. Bruce is a Director at Hybrid Air Vehicles, a commercial pilot, Chairman of Cardiff Aviation, Brewer of Beer and also frontman for Iron Maiden.
Bruce’s experience in international aviation management and airline operations will prove invaluable to Pouncer™ as it moves through testing and deployment into the field. He runs operations in Africa that could be key to fast deployment to the region and has a fantastic drive and a unique perspective and extensive business network.
Bruce delivers world class speeches to businesses around the world, comparing the challenges of operating in the world of rock music and commercial aviation with those in the business world; from teamwork, forward planning and the ability to learn from setbacks and move on successfully.
Bruce is also currently working on his autobiography and promoting the thrilling 'Scream for me Sarajevo’ as it tours the film festivals globally. We welcome both to the team and are excited for the coming months as we get the Pouncer™ into the air!
